Job Description

A growing company in outdoor furnishings is looking for an motivated and reliable individual with experience in furniture retail or wholesale to oversee the daily operations of our store.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews, on a continuous basis, the general business climate for the store and adjusts staffing, materials and inventories as needed.
  • Responsible for the show room visual display and layout in creating an inviting environment to attract customers and induce purchase.
  • Hire, train, lead and retain the highest quality Team Members who exhibit passion, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Responds to telephone calls and directs customer inquiries relating to the management of the store promptly to include resolving any problems that arise.
  • Maintains the facilities of the store to produce and maintain high quality service/products at the lowest possible cost.
  • Ensures customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality. service/products, courteous employees and quick response to needs.
  • Follows up on all customer inquiries and/or complaints and establishes conclusions in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and stocks inventory, and prices products.
  • Provides sufficient staffing for store needs at all times.
  • Prepares and submits staffing time schedules.
  • Ensures cash drawers are reconciled accurately.
  • Coordinates special projects as needed.
  • Reporting to Owner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Owner.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Retail Management: minimum 1 year (Required)
  • Furniture Store: minimum 1 year (Required)
  • Model personal accountability by acting with the highest level of honesty and integrity.

Job Description

Responsible for creating sales utilizing exceptional customer service. Strive to create long-term customer relationships that will lead to increased sales and profitability. Develop awareness of interior design through practical experience, observation and interaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage customers, uncovering their home furnishing needs and helping them make their design vision become a reality
  • Provide world class customer service and offer customers an unforgettable shopping experience
  • Build rapport with clients, earning their business through your ability to demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent listening skills
  • Develop and maintain a customer base through networking and client follow up to ensure customer satisfaction before and after the sale
  • Generating sales through a low pressure consultative approach

Required Qualifications

  • Energetic, self-motivated sales professional with exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills
  • Ability to network and build relationships with customers
  • Competitive, goal oriented nature with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a 5 day retail schedule that includes nights, weekends (Saturdays for Full Time, either / or for Part Time), and most holidays.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous sales experience in retail commission based sales environment is a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
